SUMMARY: RAID 0 question?

Thanks for all the responses:

Most of the responses I received chose option 1 i.e., if a drive fails in a
logical raid set (RAID 0), the steps to recover would be:

1) Replace the failed drive
2) Re-initialize the logical drive.
3) Perform a restore from a backup

Thanks again!

ORIGINAL QUESTION IS AS FOLLOWS:

Hello,

We have a DEC Alpha 4100 running UNIX 4.0D.

We have a MYLEX DAC960 SWXCR controller with 14 drives on that controller. We
have 5 logical drives:

3 drives RAID 0
3 drives RAID 0
3 drives RAID 0
3 drives RAID 0
2 drives RAID 0

The question I have is if a drive fails for a RAID set:

Do I replace the failed drive, re-initialize the logical drive, perform a
restore? OR

Just replace the failed drive and perform a restore?

I'll summarize!

TIA

Harry
