Dear Manager's,

after upgrading a Alphastation 600 5/333 from V4.0A to V4.0D (incl. Firmware-
Upgrade V5.3) the machine crashes during boot (after initialising network?)
when the CDR400tx is Power on.

If CDR400tx is powered off - no problems!
When i power on the CDR400 the CD-Recording doesn't work. But this may be a
problem of the software.
Software is Gear from Elektroson. But i believe this is not the minor problem.

But the machine crashes again after some hours.

Compaq/DEC-Support told me that NO CD-Recorder is at the product description
list and it's my problem.

Any suggestions? Which CD-Recorder does work under V4.0D /E/F...?

Does it help to upgrade the firmware of the CD-Recorder?

Should i downgrade the firmware of the Alphastation below 5.3?

                        Thanks, H. Baumgartner
