DEC Alpha 500 with multiple video cards

I am trying to install 3 DEC (Compaq) PBXGB-AA Video Cards in a Alpha 500
Workstation running 4.0E. Every time I reload the system, it boots up the
last time and I see it going into graphics mode for a login, but fails. Has
anyone done this and how did you set up the cards/OS to do this?
