Sound problems on Alpha 4/166

Hello;

I'm having some problems with the Multimedia stuff on my AlphaStation
4/166; I have the MME packages installed, isacfg shows that my sound card
_is_ installed, but upon booting Digital Unix I get this message:

msb0: Warning: Sound board 0 in system_configuration, but not present
msb0 not probed

Any ideas what could be causing this? The MME packages seemed to install
successfully, kernel rebuilt fine, etc.
