Hello all,

I would like to send thanks to all who replied:

Lance Berc

Peter Stern
Alan Rollow

The general consensus is that the DEC 3000 model 900 was the biggest in
the DEC 3000 line. The only option would be to perform a "box-swap" (i.e.
purchase a newer server: Alphaserver 4100, ES40, etc...). Tom Linden
suggested I might check the axp-list about overclocking CPU's on these
systems ( With extra big-fans/cooling systems of course! :) ).

Thanks again to all who replied..

We have two Dec 3000 Model 900 Deskside workstations (running Tru64 4.0e
/patchkit 1) with 275Mhz Alpha processors. I was wondering if anyone
has tried to upgrade these processors to an EV5/6 at faster than 300Mhz?
I've looked through the archives and I couldn't find anything specific
about upgrading the CPU's on these systems. I'd appreciate any advise on
this subject.

Thanks in advance.
