moving a fileset to new disks

I trying to move a 26GB fileset into our new nfs file server using
#vdump -0f - /Users | vrestore -xf - -D /RD_Netapp1/Users

the problem is when the vdump starts it reads the size of the fileset as
about 300GB.
I assume that because of the huge quota files ( i.e. quota.user, qouta.group
) each at about 138GB.

I turned off the quotas but I still get the same result, and removing this
files seems to be impossible ( a lot of mail about it in the archives).

If you know of a way to vdump without the quota files, or if you have any
other suggestions of an efficient fast way to transfer the fileset I will
gladly try to apply it.

Thanks
