Ever since upgrading to 4.0F we have seen problems with ppp. The dialing in
machine will loose it's networks (both ppp and ethernet) during phone drops or
times of heavy traffic. Previous versions just would reconnect (due to our
scripts) when dropped and everything would go on as if nothing had happened.
Now, the only way to get back up is to reboot the dialing machine. We did try
rebooting the other and all that happens is we can dial in, connect, negotiate
the connection and drop it. No packets ever get through.
