Dear all,
I have been playing with a DS20, sadly not mine, running 4.0F and
wanted to tune it using DIA and sys_check. I noticed the following:
* DIABASE290 is installed (by default?) with 4.0F but the
library files are all dangling symlinks, i.e. from /var/DIA
the symlinks point to a non-existent ../../../../opt/
directory,
* tried installign the recently announced 4.0F PK #1 - no joy.
* re-installing (setld -d and the clean subset off the FTP site)
fixes the problem,
* DIABASE290 does not recognise the DS20... is there anything
more recent??
This closes the tuning issue... the Oracle issue I have is that
whereas Oracle 8 installs fine and runs (I didn't do the install but
the DBA says it works), there are a couple of Oracle applications
which continue dying with "stack overflow" even though the stack has
been taken all the way up to 512Mb (on a 1Gb machine). Any pointers?
The apps work fine on a 1000A with 4.0D.
Ciao,
Arrigo
