This is a bug we ran into that is currently in Compaq Engineering. The problem
occurs whenever the screen saver or screen lock is started in CDE - the screen
save/lock grabs all the colors and does not release them when it returns. This
did not occur in 4.0E, but does in 4.0F The work around I got from Compaq is
the following:
mv /usr/dt/appconfig/icons/C/DECDtlogo.pm \
/usr/dt/appconfig/icons/C/donotuse_now_DECDtlogo.pm
Interestingly enough - this renames the "Compaq Tru-64" icon to something else,
and the result is the login screen now shows a monochrome "digital" logo. Is
there a message in this?
