Thanks to the 6 people who responded, with pretty much the same
recommendations:
1) Be sure the SCSI bus is properly terminated.
2) Make sure they're all the same SCSI type ( scsi1, scsi2, ultrascsi,
etc.)
3) Any SCSI disk should work.
I've checked all the SCSI cables and they all look like they are properly
configured. I've also swapped in and out several different disks, and still
I have frequent system panics. I'm going to swap everything out one more
time and see if that solves the problems. If not, I'm going to assume the
problem is internal, and I'll ask the hardware people to check it out.
