Thanks to all who responded to my question.

My problem was that I could not remember what the command was to change the
speed of the network card without having to shutdown the system to the SRM
prompt.

There is a misconception that the only way to do it is to shutdown and
change ewa0 in the SRM console. However, as I have found you don't
necessarily have to do this.

Here are two ways in which this can be done:

1. Paul Sand and Don suggested the following

Per the Man pages, I have even had this work, the following steps:

 ifconfig tu# down speed (10 = single 10, 20 = fd 10, 100 = single 100, 200
= fd 100)
 ifconfig tu# up

2. Gwen Pettigrew and Rob Shurtleff suggested

/usr/sbin/lan_config -i 'interface name' -s '10|100'

both commands work,however,lan_config changes do not remain when the system
is rebooted.
