variable bytes per sector & magneto-optical (MO) drives

I have been using the direct access driver under DU4.0D to access
optical media in HP and Sony MO drives. I seem to be limitted to
optical media that is formatted for 512 bytes per sector. I have tried
changing the BlockSize in ddr.dbase in order to work around this
shortcoming to no avail. Is there anything that I can do to support all

of the different types of optical media (512, 1024, & 2048 bytes per
sector)?
