Greetings,
I want to do a fresh install of 4.0f so I can change the
root partition to UFS. The system originally came with pre-installed
software (4.0d) and has ADVFS for / and /usr. I'm pretty sure I can
install 4.0f and restore /usr from the 4.0d disk.
My question is: are there any files on / that I should
definitely avoid restoring from the old backup tape from the
4.0d operating system. ( I know vmunix and genvmunix must remain
intact).
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

note: changing physical computers from a 600au to xp1000 at
