I'm running a system running 4.0E with C2 security enabled. I just
noticed now that any usermod command for any user comes up "Specified
user not found."
i.e.
bash-2.01# usermod -x passwd_expiration_time=0 dmg
usermod: Specified user not found.
BUT
when i run edauth it comes up with all the correct information and
the like...
What i'm noticing is /var/tcb/files/auth.db is about 2.6 meg and
there is nothing in /tcb/files/auth/a...b...c...d...
The way i converted users was just by merging the password file from
a different server to this one (removing duplications and the like),
ran /usr/sbin/audit_setup and then /usr/sbin/secsetup
Basically what im wondering is what did i do wrong? i chose the
defaults for both audit_setup and secsetup. I know i missed
something so incredibly simple i'm gonna smack myself when i find out
what it is :)
Thanks in advance.
