telnetd: login_tty: Not a typewriter

Greetings,

For some reason one of our machines (AS1200) running 4.0D is not accepting
telnet/rsh requests. Whenever anyone tries to connect they get the message
"telnetd: login_tty: Not a typewriter".

I've searched through the archives and have found nothing that helps.

If anyone has a solution, please let me know.
