samba, C2, NT and True64Unix V4.0e -- HELP!

I am hoping that a kind and knowledgeable soul will have pity on me and
give me a hand.

We have Tru64UNIX V4.0e with Jumbo patch #1 plus a few others and C2
security. I want to be able to provide NT based authentication to access
files and perhaps resources on the UNIX system. I've managed to get the
server to show up on my "Network Neighborhood" but so far that's about all.
I am struggling with making its resources available to the Windows systems
on our network. I'm in a huge rush (big surprise) and am still trying to
get my head around all of the SMB, samba, NT, etc. documentation. Any
pointers, config files and advice would be greatly appreciated!
