Hello,

[WHINE ENABLED]

Have you visited the glorious, full-of-juicy-information, Digital
Systems and Options Catalog web site lately at
http://www.digital.com/SOHOME/? Have you noticed it is being
discontinued and replaced by the Compaq QuickSpecs documents? After
reading the QuickSpec for the ESA12000 I find myself longing for a
Systems and Options Catalog. The QuickSpecs seem too quick and not
enough specs. Does Compaq have LongSpecs, or perhaps TechSpecs?

Have you tried to get technical StorageWorks product information and
been redirected to Compaq's web site? Have you noticed Compaq's product
information is more marketing than technical? Have you noticed the
Compaq StorageWorks product coverage is spotty? For example, the ESA12000
information is Fibre Channel centric. Where is the UltraSCSI, HSZ80,
information.

One hopes when two companies are combined the best of both worlds are
chosen. How is QuickSpecs superior to Systems and Options Catalog?

[WHINE DISABLE]

I am trying to be objective here.

What can Compaq customers do to either have Compaq improve the content
quality of QuickSpecs or drop QuickSpecs for the
rules-the-world-light-years-ahead-and-far-superior (oops) Systems and
Options Catalog?

I have sent email to the Compaq web admin querying about the ESA12000
UltraSCSI information without receiving a reply nor improvement at the
site. Does Compaq plan to ignore or drop support for the ESA12000 UltraSCSI
solution already?
