TruCluster Production Server - Mem. Channel

TruGuRus,
I have a fairly simple question concerning H/W configuration in
order to run TruCluster PRODUCTION Server. My customer received
a seemingly misconfigured AS 1200 cluster set. It will need to be
as fault tolerant as possible. Here's what I have before me:

Two AS 1200 5/533 w/1GB ram 2 CPU
1 RA 3000 w/ KZPBA-CB on a shared SCSI bus w/ Y cable.
1 RAID Controller in RA 3000.
6 RZ1DB-VW 9GB UWSCSI drives in RA 3000 cabinet.
2 DE500-BA 10/100 NIC in each AS 1200 - Total = 4 ( 1 in each for private net ).
4 RZ1CF-VW 4.3 GB Drives (2 in each server driven by a KZPBA-CA UWSE
2 Licenses for TruCluster Available Server.
2 Licenses for LSM.
2 Licenses for ADVFS Utilities.

Here's what I think I need/should to change to provide fail-over when running Oracle Parallel Server:

1. Replace the KZPBA-CA UWSE with the KZPAC-AA ( 1 channel RA 230+ PCI RAID controller.)
2. Trade the ASE license for a PSE license.
3. Add two CCMAA-BA Memory Channel Adapters to each AS1200 and connect with it's cable.

Here are my questions:

1. Should I definitely use the KZPAC-AA to provide a RAID 1 set for my system disks ( 2 x 4.3 GB) , or should I mess with LSM?
2. I know I have to run PSE with Oracle Par. Svr. No question here!
And my biggest question...
3. Do I NEED the Memory Channels to run TruCluster Production Server (PSE) ? What is the private network for ?

I haven't even begun to run any configurations under ASE, since I know I'll have to just re-configure, once I have the
license for PSE, and since I'm not sure if I will need the Memory Channels yet.
I just want to make an accurate list of H/W and S/W licenses together and place the order ASAP.

Thanks for any clarification. No guesses please. I''ve actually gotten some from Compaq Alpha H/W support.
I'm still waiting for a call back from an "expert".

Wayne
