Managers,
               Our system rebooted itself and system was found in
console mode >>>. On viewing the message log there was a set of messages
as below, among other seemingly innocent messages;

Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix: simple_lock: time limit exceeded
Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix:
Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix: pc of caller:

Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix:
Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix: panic (cpu 1): simple_lock: time
limit exceeded
Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix: syncing disks... device string for
dump = RAID 1 5 0 0 0 0 0.
Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix: DUMP.prom: dev RAID 1 5 0 0 0 0 0,
block 534645
Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix: device string for dump = RAID 1 5 0 0
0 0 0.
Aug 4 09:42:28 <sys Name> vmunix: DUMP.prom: dev RAID 1 5 0 0 0 0 0,
block 534645

Is this a serious message ? What does it imply and what could be the
cause ?

TIA.

Masa.
