a small typo..in the bottom lines, please assume partitions are created and a swap is set.. (the partitions are equal to original disks, from where backups are taken)

I remember a similar posting, but I couldn't find the summary..now I have a somewhat similar situation.
in one of our AS4100/4.0D/PK3/firmware 5.4 ,the vdump works fine..when i try to vrestore in a blank system ..for e.g say new harddisk.i am getting the following errors.
cam_logger: CAM_ERROR packet
cam_logger: bus 2 target 5 lun 0
isp_process_response_queue
Autosence did not occur after check condition
Active CCB at time of error
cam_logger: CAM_ERROR packet
cam_logger: bus 0 target 5 lun 0
ctape_iodone
Hard Error Detected
Seagate AIT 03j0
Active CCB at time of error
CCB request completed with error
error exception or abnormal condition
ILLEGAL REQUEST-ILLEGAL REQUEST OR CPB PARAMETERS
this happens at the end of vrestore, (The system comes up after this restore)..but the error message makes me think that the vrestore may not be fully working.
I did like this..
1.take a vdump when a system is alive..
2.remove system disks and install new ones
3.boot from cd-rom
4.create device files
5.vrestore from tapes
will summarize. Thanks in Advance
