The Problem was: Deleting accounts with daxaccount was not
possible.

The hint to the solution came from Lisa
"Could you tell me if you have any patches installed?..."
George and Spider pointed out to use instead the command interface
(userdel), but userdel gave the same error.
The situation was the system was plain V4.0D with no patch applied.
I applied today patch 4 and problem went away.
Original Problem was:
