I have a Alphastation 255 with firmware version 6.8-2
(May 11 1998) that cannot bootp with the DE500-FA
(a 100mbit FX card). The exact same machine can bootp
with a DE500 (a 100mbit cat. 5 cable card) using a fiber
to cat 5 converter box to the same connection.
I'm using ris to a 4.0C server which is serving up a copy of 4.0D.
The FA card downloads the boot file OK, then broadcasts a BOOTP
request that apparently never gets answered.
Any clues?
