I'm trying to do a remote dump of a Solaris filesystem to the
dat drive on a system running DU 4.0.
Sun Microsystems Inc. SunOS 5.6 Generic August 1997
jupiter# ufsdump 0cfu saturn:/dev/rmt0h /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0
DUMP: Writing 63 Kilobyte records
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Fri Aug 13 10:28:02 1999
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
DUMP: Dumping /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 (jupiter:/) to saturn:/dev/rmt0h.
DUMP: Mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
DUMP: Estimated 88102 blocks (43.02MB).
DUMP: rmtstatus: expected response size 24, got 560
DUMP: This means the remote rmt daemon is not compatible.
DUMP: Lost connection to remote host.
DUMP: Bad return code from dump: 1
Is this possible? Anyone know how to get around this?
Thank you,
jack
