Unfortunately, I was not able to solve my problem and get the card working.
After spending the day on the phone with DEC support, they basically
confirmed that you can't just go out and buy an ELSA GLoria Synergy video
card from anywhere and use it. The DEC OEM one reports a different ID. A
retail version causes an error message after POST which says there is an
unrecognized device in slot 4.
Thanks for all the replies which confirmed that 4.0E includes support for
the Synergy video card via the COMET driver with or without Open3D.
