We have several DEC 2100A's (rackmount version) configured with a CDROM and a DAT drive , however we want to replace the internal hard disk with a removable version (SCSI caddy).
To keep things simple we are considering removing the floppy and using the space for the hard disk caddy.
Is this feasable? What effect does removing the floppy have? What (if any) S/W required the floppy?
