SUMMARY: Automated RAID Array Shutdown

Thanks to Gary Menna <G.Menna_at_isu.usyd.edu.au> for confirming the location
of hszterm. It is in the

Software Products Library,
in directory: swa11a,
there are three subsets: SWACLI11A , SWADOC11A , SWAMAN11A.

I found it on CD #3.

               Antonio Urbano <a.urbano_at_mailcity.com>

Werner noted that there is a parameter, CACHE_FLUSH_TIMER, which is set by
default to 10 seconds. The documentation implies that after this amount
of time the cache will have been flushed.

Antonio confirmed that my intended method of shutdown was the right way to
do it.

Hszterm connected as advertised, although it's a bit unclear what LUN to
use. hszerm -f /dev/rrz16c connected me just fine.

It would seem that after CACHE_FLUSH_TIMER seconds the cache has been
flushed, so actually shutting down the controllers with hszterm may be
moot.

Bruce.
