I'm attempting to port software which worked on DU 4.0 <nothing> to
4.0E. It's not working too well.. For starters I get these messages
on the console:
ITPSA0: DIP intr, istat = 0x9, dstat = 0x81
ITPSA0: illegal instruction - DSP = 0x10603b0, DCMD = 0xf1
ITPSA0: HTH intr. on bus 0, SBCL = 0xa3
ITPSA0: HTH intr. on bus 0, SBCL = 0x26
They don't mean anything to me... Anyone????
Sometimes I find the device just goes away.

I seem to need to restart (at a minimum) to get the tape drive back.
I have had cases where it was so confused that a console >>> show dev
did not see it and a power cycle of the box was required.
I'm using the ioctl interface as define in man mtio(7) to control tape
movement.
I have on occasion, had kernel panics from this, though I've not been
able to extract a useful test case yet.
I've installed all patches that seem to relate to the kernel or I/O
subsystems.
Thanks for any suggestions or pointers to more information.
