Initializing sshd

Dear Managers!

I've been installing ssh 1.2.27 and don't know the preferred method of
starting up sshd. Putting it into /etc/inittab with `respawn' in the
action field works ok but occasionally results in console messages
complaining about the command respawning too rapidly. Ok, I could have
written a startup script going into /sbin/init.d but that's more work,
is it? What's the advantage of either method? I gladly will summarize.

Regards

Peter
