Hi!
We have one big and URGENT problem.
The configuration is:
Alpha Server 4000, DUnix4.0D, WAN Utilities and DecNetPlus. The WAN
adapter is PBXDP-AA (Emulex card).
Remote node is Ericsson MSC series 7(Mobile subscriber center).
The switch is configured like FTAM responder, and the AS4000 is FTAM
client (initiator).
The both nodes are connected via synchronous link, LAPB and X25. This
kind of connection is working.
When we try from AS4000 to list files on the switch, the 'ols' command
does not give to us any error messages. But, in console we can se error
messages:
" ER TPDU received. Reason Invalid parameter data"
Of course, 'ols' does not working!!!
The problem is maybe in NSAP value of the remote node. But, from remote
node we have only TSEL,PSEL,SSEL and DTA address. Does someone know how
to determine NSAP based on the DAT address? The 'dna25setup' utility
give to as some default value for remote NSAP but I'm not sure is this
value correct. (DTE address of the remote node is 1545410593 and
dnax25setup generate NSAP value 3600001545410593 - are this value is
correct?). Our (AS4000) NSAP are 3600001545412345, and our DTE address
is 1545412345.
Also from CTF utility we are do monitoring of OSI TRANSPORT LEVEL. The
ctf also show to as, that when we initiate file transfer from switch to
AS4000, the swich send to as "ER TPDU" with:
Cause: 01 - Invalid parameter code
and
(C1) Invalid TPDU
and some hexadecimal values.
I must say, that every configuration parameters are the same on both
side (AP Title, AP Qualifier, TSEL, PSEL, SSEL). Only parameter for
which we are not sure is NSAP on the remote side.
We will apreciate any kind of information or help.
TIA,
Emil L. Dragic
Unix Adminstrator
