Hello managers,

My original query was

we have a cluster comprising two members of
- alpha server 4100's and OS ver 4.0f
- tcr ver 1.6
- patches installed

we have a problem with one of the member participating in a cluster
envioronment.

observation :
- one of the system suddenly stopped responding and we had to reboot it.

- while in the system boot cycle it was noticed that it crashes when
trying to relocate the services from the other member.
- it was observed that there is no explicit log in any of the log files.

Thanks to Teron Jones (teron.jones_at_compaq.com)

he suggested that it could be an advfs panic, and asked me to boot to
single user and mount all the filesystems
manually and find out the domain having the problem.

but my customer would not allow me to do this since one member was
running and all the services
were available from that member.
So i had to do a total reinstallation on the member which was crashing.
Steps followed for reinstallation was.

Remove the crashing member from the ase database on the running system.
install os & cluster on the crashing member
then add the member into the cluster.

Now everything is up and running.
