All...

Some while ago, I posted a query about the LCD panel on a DS20 and how to
change its display.

I received replies from the following:

Davis, Alan [Davis_at_Tessco.Com]
Sean Harding [sharding_at_well.com]
Acacio (Casey) Carvalho [CASEY_at_YORKU.CA]
Colorado Gold [docstah_at_links.magenta.com]

The reply below just about sums up what everybody has said:

"we've had the same problem. Compaq has informed us that this would
be fixed in their next firmware release. 'set prompt' doesn't work
either. you can tell that the variables are set correctly with 'show
ocp_text', but this does you no good on the LCD display. :-)"

Oh well, wait for a new firmware release I guess.

Thanks everybody

- Tony

======================original posting==============================
I have a DS20. I have tried to set the LCD panel to read "Node: xxx" where
xxx is the node name. I have used a:
>>>set ocp_text "Node: xxx"
>>>init

On an Alphaserver-1000 this works fine. It does not change it on the DS20
though. A power cycle did not do any good either.

I don't have any manuals for this box - anybody any ideas??
