This will probably give it away that I am a newbie. I use unix and have to
administer my own machine, which is basically a number cruncher for finite
element modeling. I am running 4.0f on an XP1000.

I need to increase the size of the usr partition. I tried to do this using
the partitioning tool under the system administrator tools in the toolbox.
I got the following error:

Disklabel error while creating label. The following error(s) occurred:

disklabel:ioctl DIOCWDINFO: Open partition would move or shrink.

Use alternate partition while executing "exec/sbin/disklabel -R /dev/rrz0c
/tmp/dlprotodiskparmsl"

Please refer to disklabel documentation for more information.

I believe this is simple telling me to execute the utlitly from a partition
I'm not using. I would like to know how to do this. If possible I would
prefer to us the CDE utility rather than the command line version. Can I
execute this from the CD?

Anyway, in the past when faced with this situation, I've had to reinstall
UNIX. I would really like to avoid this. Any help you give is greatly
appreciated!

Thanks, in advance,
