Hi all,

Sorry if this is a bit off topic but I have had no help from other
quarters.

We are running Netscape Enterprise server 3.6SP2, proxy server 3.5SP2 and
directory server 3.1 on a AS1000A 5/500 running DU 4.0D + PK3. This is
our primary web and proxy server. Both the enterprise and proxy servers
hang on an increasingly regular basis which is causing great annoyance to
all our net surfers.

Attempts to troubleshoot the problem have not led anywhere. The only hint
at the moment is that running netstat -a when a hang is happenning returns
the following output:

Active Internet connections (including servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address (state)
tcp 0 666 mouse.9993 nsi2.health.nsw..8080 ESTABLISHED
tcp 0 0 mouse.8080 10.132.194.119.1143 ESTABLISHED
???
udp 0 0 mouse.5115 nsi1.health.nsw..domai
udp 0 0 mouse.5114 nsi1.health.nsw..domai

where there is a delay before the ??? is printed.

Does anyone know why a ??? would be returned from a netstat -a command and
what it would indicate. Better still, does anyone have any idea why
Netscape servers like to hang?

Thanks
