RPC Versions (no Security in DCE RPC!)

Hi,
I've got some developers who are porting a client server
application from Solaris 2.4/5 to Tru64 - it makes use of a product from
SCO called SQL-Retriever.... this makes client/server calls between a Unix
box and a PC using RPC - it would appear however that the versions of RPC
on Solaris and Tru64 are written to different standards, the Solaris being
ONC RPC and the Tru64 being DCE RPC... the latter does not seem to
contain such a feature rich programming environment and in particular
there is no support for encryption as in Solaris's RPC functions where
one can employ DES encryption for data exchange. I believe the Tru64/DCE
RPC provides the facility to 'drop-in' some sort of encryption if required
but Compaq tell me they do not provide anything like this - before
programmers get up in arms I should explain that I am not a programmer - I
just keep the boxes ticking over ;-)

If anyone can direct me to any resources that might help or can offer some
assistance I would be most greatful.....
