install problem

HI list,

I am new to Digital Unix. I was trying to install DG-UX 4.0d on alpha
box and
i get the >> prompt.

I do a sho device and try to boot from the install cdrom
boot dka600

But it just hangs at "jump to bootstrap code" line.

What can be the problem and how can i get over it ??????
