Dear All,

Thanks to everyone who replied......too many to list so here is a couple (the best/quickest)

I used the sys_check v114 solution...gave me eveything I needed to know !

<Mike_Shield-1_at_sbphrd.com> - Try the latest version of syscheck, V114. It seems to have a copy built in,
though I may have been reading it wrong.

<uunniixx_aaddmmin_at_yahoo.com> - i have tried with a CD that labeled as RaidArray Solution SW v.5.2 for
DIGITAL UNIX.This has got a setld extract in a directory called duraid.

it didn't work..i mean i couldn't even extract. some insctrl errors and I
tried two different cd's.

Then i downloaded and ran a new version of syscheck(as a general update)
and in the report surprisingly I could see the HSZ controller and
status..later found a file called hsxterm is in syscheck install directory.
hsxterm bus# targetid# lun# will open up a HSZterm console in telnet session
or you can write a script to query the disks.the help is there if you type
just hsxterm.

i tested it is working fine..but still i didn't put in to production
yet..because, i want to check whether hsxterm binary is the correct file (I
thought it should be hszterm) and is there any bugs etc....but syscheck 1.14
should be using this one.

download syscheck114 kit and extract. it should be in
/usr/opt/SYSCEHCK114/lbin.

I hope this helps..in case if you get any info. about hsxterm (whether it is
correct or not/bugs), please pass on.

<PReynolds_at_synstar.com> - HSZterm is available as part of Storageworks Command Console. This comes
with the HSZ solution kit (the PCMCIA card etc.) or it is downloadable from
the Compaq web site. I'm not sure of the exact URL for the download, but it
is quite easy to find. As I have only done the installation for VMS, I can't
speak for sure, but it involves FTPing the file from the internet to your
target system, and then running it to create the installation set needed.
There are several read-me files available from the site where you download
this.
THIS DOWNLOAD CAN BE FOUND AT http://www.compaq.com/products/storageworks/menu_support.html

<scott.balfour-eds_at_eds.com> - go here

http://www.compaq.com/products/storageworks/Storage-Management-Software/comm
and_console.html
for the software(part of it runs on a PC)
or you can just hook up a dumb terminal directly to the controller(we use a
Wyse 60)

<Simon.Mudd_at_health.wa.gov.au> - I have an A4100 running Tru64 v4.0D and have exactly the same error
message from sys_check. I'm afraid I am relatively new to the world of
Digital Unix and have always assumed I lost that particular feature during a
patch. However to connect to the HSZ controller I can use the "tip" command.
