Dear Managers

config=DU4.0D

objective: To study crash data from var filesystem
from a crashed disk.

we have a disk from a crashed system.(say, SYSTEM A).
This disk was a mirror
disk to the system disk. we have connected as another
disk say rz13 , in to
another system..say, SYSTEM B.

The mirroring was done through LSM(entire disk). so
this rz13 currently has
2 advfs filesystems in LSM volumes.

   Volume Domain/fileset
   Mount dir
FStype
1.vol-rz8e (lsm) var_domain#var
 /var
advfs
2.vol-rz8d (lsm) usr_domain#usr
/usr
advfs

The SYSTEM B has also has entire system disk mirrored
and similar setup
including advfs..so if I connect the crashed disk as
rz13 , How will I
access the /var file system on rz13. we don't have any
spare system right
now, to connect this and boot from cdrom and check.

I mounted rz13a as /mnt and below entries for advfs
inside rz13. /mnt has
/etc/fdmns/entries like this for var_domain.

link ----------vol-rz8e --> /dev/vol/rootdg/vol-rz8e.
also, the running
system's system disk also has similar config..

How to /mount/access the var_domain in rz13, so that I
can analyse the crash
data?

Thanks in Advance.

DUadmin
