This week I upgraded a DEC3000/300X from 3.2g to 4.0f (clean install
onto new disks). When I was finished, I noticed this error:
DECthreads init failure, version mismatch:
kernel version 1, library version 10001 -- application must be
relinked.
%DECthreads bugcheck (version V3.15-413), terminating execution.
% Reason: vpInit: DECthreads library incompatible with OS version
% Running on OSF1 V4.0 on DEC 3000 - M300X, 208Mb; 1 CPUs
Things I have done:
1) install 4.0e from DEC CD
2) install patch duv40es0002-19990617
3) install ADVfs utilities 4.36 from DEC's web site. (because I
got an error message that 4.35 wasn't the right version
for my system).
Could any of these have caused my problem? And how do I install the
right version of the library?
