I am in trouble and I need help. The story as follows
I have a Dec alpha station 255- 233MHZ installed with digital Unix 4.0b,
oracle version 7.3.4 and oracle application server Ver 2.1, everything
working fine. There was one Internet application working with that
system. The problem started when I added 4 more Internet application to
the system, because the OAS VER 2.1 is not accepting more than 1
application to work with port 80 (the default port) otherwise the other
4 application has to work on different ports, this mean the user has to
write the URL followed by the port number, which is not accepted. So, I
upgraded the system to DU 4.0d, oracle to ver 8.0.5 and OAS to 4.0
(because it accepted more than 1 application on port 80 and also Y2K)
but the nightmare started. The applications show some ads and graphics
buttons, suddenly while the user browsing the ads not appear to the
windows and seen a small box as the transfer broken and then the buttons
broken till I start the OAS again so everything works fine.
Oracle of course stated that the OAS is fine and no problem
Do you think that the system needs a tuning?
What parameter has to be changed or what I have to look for?
