Dear managers
I have a testing situation.

config:

rootdisk (entire) LSM mirrored ------(encap and
volrootmir the whole disk)----------rootdg
-rzxx and rzyy-user volume (separate disk) ---
sliced/Mirrored ........different Diskgroup.
-rzaa and rzbb ...Secondery swap ------(separate disk)
--------LSM Sliced-------rootdg ---------or assume
some other disk which has a partition of LSM
/log/config copies.

also have a volsave file.

Now, if both the disks involved in system disk goes
bad, I will still have LSm config copies on rz12 or
13.assume the rzxx/yy/aa/bb are intact.

please tell me if these steps will help correct
fallback.

1.install new disks
2.boot from cd ---create devices for tape
3.create a replica partition table and set the correct
partiton to swap mode.
4.create root and restore from vdump.
............remark/add/delete/rename LSM/advfs related
entries in fstab/sysconfigtab/fdmns/sbin/swapdefault
5.single user mode/create /usr /var (advfs) /mount and
restore
6.reboot/test/do a volencap again for system disk
7. get the original volboot from backup or renamed
files and replace the current one.
8.volrecover -sb or do I need to use volrestore?

will this work? How to attach those user disk after
reconfiguring system disks using volencap.? did
anybody face similar situations and any tips?

TIA
cheers
DuAdmin
