Thanks to all who replied.
I was reminded of the security implications of "xhost +" but since it was
only these 2 boxes connected via a hub, it wasn't really a concern; but I'll
probably use "xhost +machinename" anyhow.
>From the responses I've received, it seems that the best solution will be to
add "xhost +machinename" to the .dtprofile for the user we log into the CDE
server with.
Thanks again,
John

Subject: the xhost command
Hello,
We have an application running on one server that is exporting its display
to the CDE of another server. In order for the display to be accepted by
the CDE server, we've run "xhost +" on the box running the CDE.
My question is 2 fold:
1) Do we need to run "xhost +" each time the box is rebooted?
and if so,
2) How can I set this up?
Thanks,
John Losey
