Thanks to all who replied. The short answer is that the console output
was set to serial in the factory. To fix this, hook up a terminal and use
">> set console graphics". I don't have a terminal on hand to try this,
but I anticipate it will work when I obtain one.

Subject: AlphaServer DS10

Hello,

While not a strictly Tru64 question, I plan to install Tru64, so it's
somewhat relevant.

I just purchased an AlphaServer DS10. I turn it on, it displays a brief
message about the video card and BIOS emulation, then it gives me a blue
screen. I cannot get the console prompt (>>). Is this a hardware
failure, or is there a key sequence that I need to use to get the console
prompt?
