AlphaServer 2000 4/200 Ver4.0A
        DKA0.0.0.1.0 RZ28
        DKA100.1.0.1.0 Seagate
        DKA200.2.0.1.0 RZ1DB
        DKA600.6.0.1.0 RRD43
        DVA0.0.0.1000.0
        EWA0.0.0.8.0
        PKA0.7.0.1.0 scsi bus ID 7

Hi All ,
I attached a DLT tape drive to the scsi port
of the above machine . After an init at SRM
        it repeatedly comes up :
Waiting for PKA0.7.0.1.0 to poll .
After which only the DVA , EWA and PKA
devices are visible . I tried every ID on the
tape drive , also terminated and not terminated
but to no avail . When I removed the tape drive
it seemed to come up OK but repeated show dev
shows random disk devices sometimes missing
sometimes not , even though I haven't done an
init in between . Probably a scsi bus failer
but why do the disks disappear when the tape
drive is attached to the port .

P.S. The tape drive is tested OK .

Thanking you ,
