Hi, I am trying to write cds using the cdrecord programme by
Joerg Schilling (v1.6.1) downloaded from his ftp site
ftp.fokus.gmd.de. My cd read-write drive is a Yamaha SCSI
model CRW6416S series. This drive mounts successfully for
reading as /dev/rz14c. I have tried calling the cdrecord
using:
# cdrecord -dummy -V speed=6 dev=0,14,0 /directory
Cdrecord release 1.6.1 Copyright (C) 1995-1998 Jrg Schilling
scsidev: '0,14,0'
scsibus: 0 target: 14 lun: 0
cdrecord: Bad file number. Cannot open SCSI driver.

I've tried various things for the SCSIdev definition. Sorry
I'm not a sys admin. Hopefully this is an easy question for
someone.
