Hi All ,
I recently wrote about a problem attaching a DLT TZ89
drive to a Alphaserver 2000 4/200 . I will summarise
that later , but in relation to that , I have read
a lot about scsi and received a LOT of replies .
The TZ89 tape drive is a Fast , Wide , scsi-2
single ended device .
To quote from the TZ89 manual (specifically the
desk top model ) :
"The tape drive can be connected to :
a) fast, wide single-ended scsi bus
b) slow, single-ended scsi bus
c) fast, wide differential bus . "
I understood that single-ended and differential
didn't work without the converter . Is the manual wrong ??
Thanking you ,
