Crontab errors

I have a query for you. I am receiving the following crontab errors and
cannot seem to discern what the problem is. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. If I copy the command from the crontab and run it at the
command level as root it completes successfully. It is only when the
command is read through the cron that I get the following errors:

mail
>From root Thu Oct 14 03:00:00 1999
Date: Thu, 14 Oct 1999 03:00:00 -0300 (ADT)
To: root
Subject: Output from "cron" command
Content-Length: 388

Your "cron" job on admarc1
su - applnca -c /usr/local/oracle/shutdown_conc_test.sh;

produced the following output:
