This was a simple one for many of you. I knew the answer actually, problem
was that the system of which I wanted to know the temperature was not
configured to display temperature status. When I issued "sysconfig -q
envmon" it came back with:
envmon:
env_current_temp = -1
env_high_temp_thresh = 45
env_fan_status = 0
env_ps_status = 0
env_supported = 1
which did not make sense to me.
But it was the right command anyway. Another nice way to monitor the
system-temperature is the performance manager. Just type "pmgr" and select
the environmental monitoring.
