SUMMARY: Allowing "average" user to stop print queue

The solution can be summed up in just three words:


SUDO - SUDO - SUDO

I received many, many suggestions to look into SUDO to enable me to allow an
average user to execute priviledged commands.

I also received a couple of responses from individuals who had taken the
initiative to write a c program that performed the task!
