Recovery of the firmware ROM?

Hello,

Another unix-manager did ask the question about the corrupted
firmware 5.3 for as500.

The result of the update process was that the whole machine
went completely dead after rebooting. Nothing on the graphics
console or the serial console. Only the leds and fans are working...

As I understand there is this thing "failsafe loader" which
should be able to read a bootblock from a floppy to make
it possible to recover the SRM and ARC software in the flashrom.

I did find a floppyimage (udbupd38.img) from the digital ftp-site
that should be "the thing", but it seems it is for an older
machine. I tried it by moving the jumper to the "floppy loader",
but nothing happened, except for the light on the green led on
the floppystation.

Several people informed us that the only way ist to change the
motherboard, but hey, I am not ready for that, yet.

So the question is. Is there a bootable floppyimage (for the
failsafe loader) somewhere that would work on an as500?
