[Q] Performance hit running EV6 binaries on EV56

Dear all,

has anyone got any hard numbers on the performance hit of running EV6
optimised binaries on EV56 boxes? I am having some issues linked to
the C++ compiler (4.0F PK#1 vs. 4.0D PK#3) which can be nailed down to
RTL and OS problems (I think) but I am also seeing lots of messages
about instructions being emulated. Is there a JIT compiler or are
they emulated each time round via trap/despatch?

Up to now my recommendation has been to treat them as separate
architectures with their own optimisations but it looks like someone
has lost track of the location of binaries...

Ciao,

Arrigo
